Melania Trump talks transition, viral dance, Barron’s role in election success

The soon-to-be first lady, Melania Trump, gave her first interview since her husband won the 2024 election.

Melania Trump appeared on “Fox & Friends” Friday morning to talk about President-elect Donald Trump’s win, returning to the White House for a second time, and her husband’s popular dance moves among other topics.

“It’s incredible, and we are very, very, busy,” she said about her husband’s second presidential win.

While the incoming Trump president and his administration are six weeks away from taking over for the next four years, Melania Trump is busy preparing her second go-around with her own team.

I’m establishing my transition team and also working on my office I’m putting together and also organizing the residents and packing. It’s incredible what you have to do in that situation,” she said.

Mrs. Trump added the move this time around compared to Trump’s first term, which she wrote how difficult it was about in her memoir, “Melania,” is much smoother compared to 2017.

This time it’s very different. We already know where we are going. We have all of the plans from before, so we don’t need to go back in. My team is in contact with the White House, so that’s a plus. We have all what we need,” she said. “The first time was challenging. We didn’t have much access until we were in on January 20.

She said she’ll be ready to start on day one, just like her husband has said about his first day back in office.

The incoming first lady said her husband’s attitude after his 2024 win was not the same when he won in 2016. “The country and the people really supported him,” she said. I think the energy is different. People around him are different.”

She praised her changed 78-year-old husband for the “hard work” he’s doing after winning the election.

He’s focused on making this country great again. His patriotism is incredible and his hard work as well,” she said.

The anchors then brought up the “Trump dance,” which has become a viral hit.

This is a very special and unique dance,” Melania Trump said about her husband’s iconic moves. “I think everyone is copying it, and everyone is having fun with it.

She jokingly added that she doesn’t dance like her husband. “He’s coming all on his own,” she said with a smile.

She also credited her 18-year-old son, Barron. She said he helped his father find new ways to reach the audience that elected him president.

I’m very proud of him, about his knowledge, even about politics and giving his advice to his father. He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation,” she said as she recognized that young voters don’t watch television. “He gave advice to his father. It was incredible how he brought success. He knew exactly who his father needs to contact and talk to.
