Former Republican Party chairman Michael Steele was rendered speechless Sunday after being presented with a new attack by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) on Vice President Kamala Harris.
Steele appeared on MSNBC over the weekend, where the host played a video of Comer responding to Harris’ recent comments about gun ownership made in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harris told Winfrey that she herself was a gun owner and that, if someone breaks into her house to threaten her life, “they’re getting shot.”
“Well, look, I don’t think anyone believes that Kamala Harris is a gun owner,” Comer told Fox News. “But if she is, she needs to tell the American people what type of gun she has.”

“I’m almost sorry I played that,” said the host after playing the video of Comer’s comments. “What do you make of that?”
Steele replied with laughter, “It’s crazy.”
“I don’t even know which… I don’t even know what side of his mouth he’s talking out of,” Steele said while stuttering.
“It made no sense. The woman tells you she’s a gun owner, she is a gun owner!” Steele said before cutting his sentence short.
