Before former Vice President Walter Mondale died in 2021, he left behind the eulogy he had planned to deliver for Jimmy Carter. Mr. Carter died on Sunday, and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, last year. Mr. Mondale’s son Ted will read the eulogy at Mr. Carter’s memorial service at Washington National Cathedral on Jan. 9.
